Galaxy S24 series finally gets Call Brief, My FanCam, and more Galaxy AI features

Samsung has been steadily trickling down its newest Galaxy AI features to older flagships, and the Galaxy S24 series is next in line. The company has released the second One UI 9.0 beta update for the Galaxy S24, Galaxy S24 Plus, and Galaxy S24 Ultra, and alongside the usual bug fixes and stability improvements, it brings four AI features that first showed up on the Galaxy S26 and Z Fold 8 series.

Call Brief is one of the headline additions. It displays relevant information about a caller directly on your screen, so you don’t have to fumble around mid-conversation. My FanCam, which debuted with the Galaxy Z Flip 8 and Z Fold 8, can track a specific person in a video and auto-crop the footage to follow them. That’s handy if you’re trying to isolate your kid, a family member, or a specific performer from a crowded shot.

The update also brings Custom Cards for Now Brief. This lets you pull data from Samsung Health, Samsung Weather, and your preferred YouTube content into a single custom card, and schedule it to show up at a specific time on the days you choose. Rounding things out is Now Nudge, which analyzes what’s on your screen to surface useful information, including calendar events, proactive suggestions, app and Google Maps shortcuts, and autofill prompts.

None of this should come as a huge surprise, since the Galaxy S25 series received the exact same four features with its own One UI 9.0 beta update last week. Samsung is clearly working through its lineup in order, so it’s a safe bet the Galaxy S24 series won’t be the last to get this AI upgrade.
