With WWDC just around the corner, there’s a lot of new stuff headed our way from Apple. Whether it’s updates to iOS and macOS, or even maybe some hardware announcements, WWDC has always been an interesting event to watch. So, here is what to expect from WWDC 2025.
iOS 19
Obviously, one of the biggest announcements of WWDC every year is the new iOS update. This year, it will be iOS 19, and it’s rumored to be a pretty big update. Among other expected iOS 19 features are a revamped visionOS-inspired UI, Apple Intelligence features, and more.

It is almost certain that iOS 19 will be a massive new upgrade for iPhones, so it’s a good time to check whether your iPhone is on the list of iOS 19 compatible devices.
macOS 16
The new macOS 16 update will also be announced during the keynote event, and while we don’t yet know what macOS 16 will be named, I am hoping Craig Federighi talks about Apple’s crack marketing team and their VW bus’ adventures around California.
Like iOS 19, we do already know a bunch of macOS 16 expected features, including a UI revamp among other things. It’s also likely that Apple will drop support for Intel-based Macs with macOS 16, but all the M-series Macs should be on the list of macOS 16 compatible devices.
watchOS 12
Apple will also officially announce watchOS 12 at the event, and it’s undoubtedly going to focus heavily on health features. The Apple Watch has always been a health-focused smartwatch, and Apple should lean heavily on that aspect of the Apple Watch’s usefulness during its presentation.
watchOS 12 might bring in more advanced training metrics, better sleep mode, better workout insights, and more. Plus, there should be some sprinkling of Apple Intelligence as well.
visionOS 3
Apple’s Vision Pro may not have been the massive success that the company obviously would have wanted, but it has its share of fans, and for good reason. Last year, visionOS 2 brought along some really useful Quality of Life features to the Vision Pro.
This year, with visionOS 3, I am hoping Apple does more than just QoL features. Hopefully, we will get to hear about some new apps, and maybe expanding Vision Pro support to more countries (including India, please!). A new report has mentioned a visionOS 3 eye scrolling feature in the works, which is exciting.
tvOS 19
If you use an Apple TV, WWDC 2025 will bring along the new tvOS update as well. tvOS doesn’t usually get a lot of new features — not that it needs to.
However, this year we expect to see some Apple Intelligence integrations in the Apple TV as well, hopefully getting better search results from Siri across apps on the Apple TV.
Hardware Expectations
Obviously, WWDC is first and foremost a software focused event. However, Apple has announced new hardware at WWDC. We got the Mac Pro back in 2019, and the Vision Pro at WWDC 2023.
This year there isn’t really a lot to expect from WWDC in terms of hardware. However, the M4 series of chipsets do have their Ultra cousin missing. And what better time to announce the M4 Ultra, than with a Mac Pro refresh — it is pending an update anyway. A Mac Pro with the M4 Ultra chip could very well make an appearance at WWDC 2025.
Well, those were the things I am expecting to see at WWDC 2025. New iOS and macOS updates are obviously the things getting me most hyped for the event. However, I am also looking forward to better workout tracking for my Apple Watch Ultra 2. Let’s see how it all goes. What are you expecting from Apple during the keynote? Let us know in the comments.
