As we head towards WWDC 2025, we are getting more leaks and reports about what we can expect to hear from Apple at the keynote on June 9, 2025. Now, according to a new report from Mark Gurman (link), watchOS and tvOS design changes are coming at WWDC.
This information is in-line with reports of UI overhauls and revamps across the board in Apple’s software. We already know that iOS 19 changes will include a major UI revamp, and there’s a redesign coming to macOS 16 as well. It follows naturally that Apple will like to use this opportunity to make watchOS and tvOS look visually similar to every other Apple operating system.
Going by what we already know (and expect) about iOS 19 and macOS 16, the visual changes coming to the Apple Watch and Apple TV should be in a similar vein. Expect more translucent designs, and glass-like interfaces across the board. The visionOS-inspired UI will definitely borrow heavily from UI elements and designs already used on the Vision Pro with visionOS 1 and visionOS 2 so far.

In fact even the WWDC artwork hints towards glass-like interfaces with translucent designs, colors, and an overall appearance of very glassy UI.
Toasty Take
The Apple Watch UI has been revamped a couple of times in the past, so it isn’t a big deal for Apple to consider a redesign of the UI this year. However, tvOS isn’t something that has seen any major UI changes since its inception, and making a major UI change as the one we’re expecting this year would definitely be interesting in how it’s received by the general consumer.
Personally, I’m all-in for a unified-looking UI across all Apple operating systems, and I’m excited to see what the company has in store. What do you think? Let me know your thoughts in the comments.
