PS Plus Is Losing These Games in April 2026 — Here Is What to Play Before They Are Gone

PlayStation has updated the “Last Chance to Play” section on PS5, confirming the games leaving PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium in April 2026. The deadline is Tuesday, April 21 — the same day the new April catalog additions arrive. At that point, both confirmed titles become unplayable on PS Plus unless you purchase them separately from the PS Store.

So far, only two games are confirmed to be leaving. More titles could be added to the list in the coming weeks, so check the Last Chance to Play section on your PS5 regularly.

The Games Leaving PS Plus in April

EA Sports PGA Tour

EA Sports PGA Tour launched in April 2023 — EA’s first golf title since Rory McIlroy PGA Tour in 2015, ending an eight-year absence from the sport. It arrived on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC with official PGA Tour licensing, covering major tournaments including the Masters, the US Open, and The Open Championship.

Critics were broadly positive at launch, earning a 75 on OpenCritic — a solid but not exceptional score. The complaint heard most often: the progression system was repetitive, and the grinding required to unlock equipment and courses was steeper than the excellent course design deserved.

It was added to PS Plus Extra in April 2025, meaning it has been on the service for approximately one year. That twelve-month window is the standard cycle for many PS Plus Extra titles before removal.

How long does it take to finish? EA Sports PGA Tour has no traditional “finish.” If you want a sense of the full game, expect 15 to 20 hours to complete the career mode’s early stages and sample most of the courses. Hardcore simulation golfers have logged hundreds of hours.

Is it worth your time? If you enjoy golf games, yes — especially with PGA Tour 2K25 available as a free PS Plus Essential game this month for comparison. PGA Tour 2K25 scored higher critically (81 on OpenCritic), so play that first, then try EA’s version if the course roster appeals.

Lost Records: Bloom & Rage (Tape 1 and Tape 2)

Lost Records: Bloom & Rage is the most recent game from Don’t Nod — the studio that created the original Life is Strange, which is often considered the definitive example of the choice-based narrative adventure genre.

The game follows Swann, a teenage girl navigating a summer of self-discovery through 1990s nostalgia and a present-day mystery. The story is split across two timelines — 1995 and 2022 — and the game released episodically: Tape 1 arrived in February 2025, Tape 2 in April 2025. Both were added to PS Plus on their respective launch dates as day-one inclusions. Both Tape 1 and Tape 2 are leaving simultaneously on April 21.

Tape 1 scored 75 on OpenCritic, called “Strong.” Tape 2 scored 71, rated “Fair.” The consistent praise across reviews was for the writing and character dynamics. The consistent criticism was pacing — both tapes move slowly even by the genre’s standards.

How long does it take to finish? Around 11 hours total across both tapes, according to HowLongToBeat. Lost Records is a weekend game — start on Saturday, finish by Sunday evening.

Is it worth your time before April 21? Yes, with a caveat. This is a game for people who already enjoyed Life is Strange or similar narrative adventures. If that genre does not appeal, Lost Records will not convert you. If you loved the original Life is Strange — or are currently anticipating Life is Strange: Reunion launching on March 26 — Lost Records is essential context and worth finishing before the deadline.

What to Play First

If you only have time for one game before April 21, play Lost Records: Bloom & Rage. It takes about 11 hours, ends before the deadline with time to spare even starting today, and its removal represents a bigger loss of a narrative experience than a sports simulation.

EA Sports PGA Tour is excellent in short sessions and can be dipped into for a round or two before it leaves. If you have been curious, now is the time.

Both games are free to download right now with an active PS Plus Extra or Premium subscription.
