OnePlus Teases Turbo 6 Smartphone, Confirms 9000mAh Battery

OnePlus has officially teased the Turbo 6 series, setting a January 8, 2026 launch date in China for two new phones called the OnePlus Turbo 6 and Turbo 6V. These are shaping up to be big phones in more ways than one.

One of the standout details confirmed so far is the massive 9,000 mAh battery both phones are expected to pack. That blows most current phones out of the water in terms of sheer capacity and points to multi-day endurance for heavy usage like gaming and streaming. You can expect fast charging to be part of the package too, helping that huge battery fill up at a reasonable pace.

Early teasers also confirm high refresh rate displays. The Turbo 6 itself looks to boast a 165 Hz screen, which will make animations feel smoother and games more responsive. The Turbo 6V might stick with a slightly lower refresh rate around 144 Hz while still delivering a sharp and vibrant OLED panel.

Under the hood, at least the Turbo 6 is expected to run on the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset. That chip is already making the rounds in other mid-range flagships and offers a good mix of power and efficiency for demanding tasks without pushing the price into true flagship territory. The Turbo 6V may use a slightly less powerful Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor but should still hold its own for everyday use and gaming.

Design teasers show rounded corners with an aggressive, gaming-ready aesthetic and bold color options including black, silver, and holographic finishes. Water and dust resistance is also hinted at, suggesting these phones won’t just be about brute power but thoughtful hardware too.

OnePlus has not yet confirmed when these devices might reach global markets, but leaks suggest they could arrive under the Nord branding outside China soon after their January debut. If you like phones that push battery life and performance together, the Turbo 6 series is one to watch.
