Want to make the best use of your iPhone while ensuring that your privacy remains intact? Here are three iPhone settings you should change to get better privacy, better battery life, and an overall better experience on your iPhone.
Note: These settings are shown on an iPhone running iOS 26, but they will work on any iPhone with any iOS version released in the last few years.
1. Disable Significant Locations
Your iPhone tracks your location almost all the time, and it uses this information to find and record significant locations that you visit frequently. This can be useful, but it also means that your location is always being recorded by your iPhone. Here’s how to turn it off.
- Go to Settings -> Privacy & Security -> Location Services

- Go to System Services -> Significant Locations & Routes

- Disable the toggle next to Significant Locations & Routes

That’s it. Your iPhone will not record locations all the time anymore.
2. Optimized Charging
iPhone batteries can last very long, but they can also degrade really quickly. The biggest reason behind your battery health rapidly degrading to 80% is because of overcharging and charging too frequently. Fortunately, your iPhone can manage this on its own so you can relax and use it however you like.
- Go to Settings -> Battery -> Charging

- Turn on “Optimized Battery Charging“

3. Load Websites Quickly
If you hate slow loading websites, this setting can help you reduce website loading times on your iPhone.
- Go to Settings -> Apps -> Safari

- Tap on Extensions and install a Content Blocker such as Ad Block Plus on your iPhone.

This will block most ads and trackers and will load websites much faster on your iPhone.
Those were the three iPhone settings you should change right now! These settings will definitely improve your iPhone experience so try them out and share your thoughts in the comments.
