iOS 26.3 Beta Arrives with New Features and Changes

Apple has started testing the iOS 26.3 update and even though it doesn’t seem to be a major update, there are some interesting new features that are being prepped for the release. Here’s what’s new.

1. Notification Forwarding

Apple has added a new “notification forwarding” feature in iOS 26.3 which is aimed at letting iPhone users get phone notifications on third-party devices like Android smartwatches.

This is a welcome change for anyone who wants to use a smart watch but doesn’t necessarily want to spend big money on getting an Apple Watch.

It’s important to note that if a user turns on Notification Forwarding on their iPhone, notifications will not show up on any paired Apple Watches. Unfortunately, it seems that this feature is only available in Europe, precisely to address the EU’s strict anti-trust laws.

2. Transfer to Android

Apple is being weirdly nice to Android lovers in this update, and is bringing a new transfer to Android feature as well. With this new feature, users will be able to simply place their iPhone close to a new Android phone to begin transferring data between the phones.

Users will be able to move their photos, messages, notes, apps, etc., and users will not even need to download another app to transfer data.

3. Dedicated Weather Wallpaper Section

iOS 26.3 is also introducing a dedicated section for weather wallpapers. Earlier, weather wallpapers were clubbed together with Astronomy wallpapers, and prior to iOS 26.3, the Weather wallpaper option simply opened up a new wallpaper with the weather background.

Now, users will see a new Weather section with dedicated weather wallpapers that can be used as-is or edited as per their needs.
