List of iOS 19 Compatible Devices

Now that we know Apple is officially announcing iOS 19 on June 9 at the WWDC 2025 keynote, you might be wondering whether your iPhone will support iOS 19 or not. While for the most part, devices that supported iOS 18 are expected to be compatible with iOS 19 as well, there are rumored to be a few exceptions. So, here is the list of iOS 19 compatible devices.

Devices Compatible with iOS 19 (Expected)

  1. iPhone 16e
  2. iPhone 16 Pro and 16 Pro Max
  3. iPhone 16 and 16 Plus
  4. iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max
  5. iPhone 15 and 15 Plus
  6. iPhone 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max
  7. iPhone 14 and 14 Plus
  8. iPhone 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max
  9. iPhone 13 and 13 mini
  10. iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max
  11. iPhone 12 and 12 mini
  12. iPhone 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max
  13. iPhone 11
  14. iPhone SE (2nd Gen)

According to leaks, iOS 19 will not be compatible with the iPhone XR, iPhone XS, and iPhone XS Max. Though these devices were compatible with iOS 18, they are rumored to not get the upcoming iOS update.

Meanwhile, though the list of iPhones that will get iOS 19 is quite extensive, there will be a difference in the availability of features between different iPhone generations. Apple usually earmarks the most exciting features for the latest iPhones — we’ve already seen this with Apple Intelligence in iOS 18, and other features in earlier generations of iOS.

That said, there are a lot of cool features expected in iOS 19 so prep your iPhone for the upcoming updates. Apple usually releases developer betas after all the WWDC 2025 keynote announcements and public betas usually follow in a month or so. The actual stable release for iOS 19 is expected in September, as usual.
