Galaxy Watch8 Series Launched: Price, Specs, Features and More


If you’ve set your eyes on the new Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 or the Z Flip 7 that launched today, you might wanna know that there’s a couple of new wearables for you as well. Samsung has launched the Galaxy Watch 8 and the Galaxy Watch 8 Classic today.

Galaxy Watch 8 Specs

The Galaxy Watch8 series comes with the Exynos W1000 chipset, paired with 2GB RAM and 32GB storage on the Galaxy Watch8 and 64GB storage on the Galaxy Watch8 Classic. Both watches get a Super AMOLED display with full-color Always on Display. The displays are protected by Sapphire Crystal as well.

The Watch8 packs in a 325mAh battery in the 40mm case and a 435mAh battery in the 44mm case. On the other hand, the Watch8 Classic packs in a larger 445mAh battery.

Galaxy Watch 8 Design

The Watch 8 series features an 11% thinner design, as per Samsung, and offers a better fit and improved stability. It’s bright display allows for easy use outdoors, and the dual-frequency GPS provides more detailed location-based results. The Watch8 series also features the BioActive Sensor to offer accurate health insights.

The Galaxy Watch8 comes in a 40mm and 44mm case design, and weighs 30g and 34g respectively. The Watch8 Classic comes in a 46mm case and weighs 63.5g. You also get fast charging support, and OneUI 8 based on Wear OS 6. Plus, there’s LTE, NFC, and 5ATM of water resistance along with IP68 rating.

Galaxy Watch8 Series Price and Availability

The Galaxy Watch8 is priced starting at $349, whereas the Galaxy Watch8 Classic is priced at $499. The watches are available for pre-order on the Samsung website, and will go on sale from July 25.
