iOS 26 Officially Announced: Features, Compatible Devices, and More


Apple has today officially announced the next iteration of its iPhone operating system and yes, it’s called iOS 26. Apple’s new year-based naming scheme will now ensure that iOS, macOS, iPadOS, visionOS, watchOS, and tvOS, will all have the same number going forward.

As expected, iOS 26 brings a host of new features, with the glass-like redesign being the biggest change on the face of things. Devices Compatible with iOS 26

iOS 26 Release Date

As for when you’ll be able to get your hands on the latest iOS update, developers will be able to install iOS 26 developer beta once the profiles are released later today. A public beta will come out sometime in July, and the stable release is expected in September, right on time for the new iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Pro.
