iPhone 18 Pro: Every Rumored Feature Confirmed So Far (April 2026)

The iPhone 18 Pro is not due until September 2026. But leaks are already coming in thick and fast. Apple’s next Pro iPhone is shaping up to be a significant upgrade — especially on the inside. Here is a full roundup of everything we know right now.

The Big Design Changes

The iPhone 18 Pro is expected to keep the same 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch display sizes as the iPhone 17 Pro lineup. However, a few important design details are changing.

First, Face ID is getting a major overhaul. Reports suggest that one Face ID component — the flood illuminator — will move under the screen. This will allow for a smaller Dynamic Island on the front of the phone.

Also, the rear Ceramic Shield is expected to get a more frosted glass appearance. And the Camera Control button is being simplified, removing swipe gestures from the current version.

One thing not changing? The color options. We reported earlier that the iPhone 18 Pro will not come in black, for the second year in a row. Instead, Apple is reportedly going with a red option for the Pro models this year.

The New A20 Pro Chip

This is arguably the biggest upgrade. The A20 Pro chip will be Apple’s first processor built on a 2-nanometer process. According to reports, it will deliver around a 15% speed boost and approximately 30% better power efficiency compared to the A19 Pro.

Apple is also using a new technology called Wafer-Level Multi-Chip Module. This integrates the RAM directly onto the same wafer as the CPU, GPU, and Neural Engine. The result should be better performance and battery life in a smaller footprint.

We already know the iPhone 18 could also get 12GB of RAM, which would be a first for any iPhone.

A Better Camera

The main 48-megapixel Fusion camera on both Pro models is rumored to gain variable aperture. This would let you control how much light enters the lens, similar to what you see on high-end Android cameras. It is a feature iPhone photographers have wanted for years.

The New C2 Modem

Apple’s third-generation C2 modem is coming to the iPhone 18 Pro. It should bring faster speeds, improved power efficiency, and — crucially — mmWave 5G support in the United States. The C1 and C1X modems in earlier iPhones did not support mmWave.
