Samsung has officially taken the wraps off its latest flagship lineup, unveiling the Galaxy S26 series during its Galaxy Unpacked event on February 25, 2026. The new range — which includes the Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra — arrives as the successor to last year’s S25 lineup and continues the company’s push toward combining performance upgrades with deeper AI integration.
At first glance, the new devices may feel familiar in terms of design, but the focus this year clearly shifts toward smarter software capabilities. Samsung is placing heavy emphasis on AI-driven tools designed to assist users in daily tasks, from managing calls to editing photos more intuitively. These additions are aimed at simplifying everyday interactions with the phone rather than dramatically altering the hardware itself.
The Galaxy S26 series is powered by next-generation flagship chipsets, including the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 in several regions, while other global markets are expected to receive Samsung’s own Exynos 2600 processor. This return to a split-chip strategy signals Samsung’s renewed confidence in its in-house silicon development.
Among the standout features this year is the new Privacy Display technology on the Galaxy S26 Ultra, which limits screen visibility from side angles. This addition is designed to keep sensitive content hidden from nearby onlookers in public spaces such as trains, offices, or airports.
Pricing has also seen adjustments across the lineup. The base Galaxy S26 now starts at $899, while the S26+ is priced at $1,099, marking a noticeable increase compared to their predecessors. The Ultra model, however, maintains its previous price point of $1,299.
The entire Galaxy S26 series is scheduled to become available starting March 11, giving Samsung another opportunity to strengthen its position in the premium smartphone segment through a combination of refined hardware and intelligent software features.
