Redmi’s next Turbo series is shaping up to be a serious upgrade with fresh chipsets and huge batteries hinting at strong performance and endurance. The upcoming Redmi Turbo 5 and Turbo 5 Pro models are expected to arrive early in 2026 with MediaTek Dimensity chips that have not been officially announced yet, marking a shift from the Snapdragon silicon used in the previous generation.
According to the latest leaks, the standard Turbo 5 will run on the rumored Dimensity 8500 chipset, while the Turbo 5 Pro is tipped to use a more powerful Dimensity 9500e processor. These chips are built on advanced process nodes and promise to deliver notable boosts in both speed and efficiency. Both models are expected to launch with a flat 1.5K LTPS display, ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensors, and a metal mid-frame that reinforces Redmi’s focus on premium build quality.

Battery life looks to be a standout feature for this series. The Turbo 5 Pro, in particular, is rumored to pack a massive around 9,000 mAh battery paired with 100W wired fast charging, which could translate to days of real-world use without frequent top-ups. The standard Turbo 5 is also expected to offer strong endurance with an estimated 8,000 mAh battery and the same fast charging support. These figures suggest Redmi is leaning hard into endurance as a core selling point for this generation.
Other expected features include IP68/69-level water resistance and stereo speakers, making these phones robust options for both daily use and content playback. With Android 16 based HyperOS 3 likely on board, the user experience should feel polished and modern straight out of the box.
Redmi seems poised to introduce these phones around February 2026 in China, possibly alongside other Xiaomi flagships. If the leaks prove accurate, the Turbo 5 lineup could offer one of the most compelling mixes of battery life, performance, and build quality in the mid-range segment next year.
