As we head slowly but steadily towards the December 17 launch date for the upcoming OnePlus 15R, we are getting even more information about the phone.
We already knew that the phone will pack in a 165Hz display and will run on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset. Plus, the phone popped up on Geekbench recently as well. Today, OnePlus has confirmed that the phone will be powered by a 7400mAh battery.
That’s a point of difference from the OnePlus Ace 6T, which is what the 15R is based on. That phone had a 8300mAh battery, but it seems OnePlus has opted to go for a smaller battery for the 15R.
That said, 7400mAh is a really good number in itself, and the OnePlus 15R will also get 80W SuperVOOC wired charging support for quick top-ups.
The OnePlus 15R is expected to feature the following specifications:
- 6.83-inch 165Hz 1.5K AMOLED display
- Snapdragon 8 Gen 5
- 12GB RAM
- Android 16
- Custom G2 WiFi chip
- 50MP + 8MP rear camera
- IP66+68+69+69K ratings
