Apple has officially released the first public beta of iOS 26 (and iPadOS 26), giving public beta program users access to the same features found in the fourth developer beta. On the messaging front, redesigned chat features bring custom conversation backgrounds, built‑in polls, and typing indicators in group chats. The Phone app now includes streamlined call‑screening tools for unknown numbers and a “Hold Assist” feature to better manage active calls. Not to mention, Apple has introduced a dedicated Games app for accessing Apple Arcade and the App Store—alongside enhanced Safari navigation, spatial photo effects, and redesigned UI in native apps.
