With iOS 14, Apple has finally brought along a much requested feature to iPhones. You now get incoming calls as a small banner notification. This is great because calls don’t take up your entire screen now forcing you to either decline the call, or wait it out and then get back to using your iPhone. However, some people might prefer having the old incoming call screen on their iPhones even now. I am not one of those people, but if you are, here is how to enable full screen calls in iOS 14.
How to Enable Full Screen Calls in iOS 14
- Launch Settings and go to ‘Phone‘. Tap on ‘Incoming Calls‘.
- Here, just select ‘Full Screen‘ instead of ‘Banner‘ and that’s it.
You can now get full screen calls on your iPhone once again. This setting applies to all your calling apps, including your regular phone calls, FaceTime, WhatsApp calls, and any other VoIP apps you may be using.
If in the future you feel like you want to go back to the banners, just follow the same steps and choose ‘Banner’ from the list. That’s it.
Meanwhile, if you haven’t already, you can install iOS 14 right now. Apple has released the public beta for anyone to try out. However, you should know that it’s usually not recommended to install beta versions of iOS on your phone. If you still choose to do so, make sure you make a backup of your iPhone beforehand.
